Kepnutz, I always like to see your pics!

Grampa Spey, here a few other posts that show what you can do with an Oasis:
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=10791
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=10791&start=15
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7970&start=0&hilit=oasis+solo

And another starter on the comparison with the outfitter:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=10379&start=0&hilit=oasis+outfitter

The current Oasis is more stable then the one I have. Look at this post:

I will have to see if my older son still has his lead shot that got recycled to him when we found it "hidden" in what used to be a closet in his room.

I will try the lead in the "hole filler", and a portable solar shower container, easy to fill with water and to empty at the lake during launching and afterwards.

Those pictures cleared up why Hobie has the load warnings re single kayaker in the tandems.

Your Dutch (-translator?) is quite accurate (and gave my daughter a good laugh! ).

I still love the Oasis. After quite a long time I went on it solo again (friend of mine in AI-hull only): high and dry, very stable, very comfortable, tracking while pedaling (rudder up) remarkably good, you can turn it on a dime (well, compared to the adventure), reasonably fast, still a great ride!

Grampa, Stringy's trick of filling a big dry bag with water works great for balancing the oasis. Already made up you mind?

Skua, I am now trying to get my wife's schedule to allow her to go try an Oasis and do some shopping.

Good to hear from you again Skua and Kep. Must be warming up where you live!

'Hi Scooby
You have beautiful pictures and a very clever ideas for sailing in our Hobie kayaks to improve. I always like to see your pictures hope all is well Have fun there!'
Your Dutch is OK Kep, but I think your Ocker was better, mate!

GS,
I agree with Skua. If I could only have one Hobie it would be the Oasis!
(That might change though when the TI arrives)

Gampa, I think you will be happy with your choice, it's great, especially with the turbo's and I would say take the sailing rudder as well.

Stringy, It is warming up (finally over 15 degrees C)! I hardly sail in winter but I kayak weekly in winter as well; it's just a matter of wearing the right / enough clothes (as long as there is enough water between the ice...).
I would love to do some AI-trips in your beautiful country though, although I should not forget my earplugs to survive the Ocker!
