Hello everyone. We just bought a new Odyssey Tandem and had our first paddle last evening. The kayak had a noticeable list to the port side, to the point where I got back cramps leaning to the opposite to counter it. This morning we put the kayak in our in-ground pool. With no one on board the seam joint on the port side was down 3/4" as compared to the starbord seam measured at the same place. Equilivent places on the boat top showed the same difference. The Mrs. got in the rear seat position, no seat cushions - just bare plastic, and the kayak listed again to the port side, but more noticeably. Even though we were very careful to have her sit perfectly upright, the port seam was at the waterline while the starboard side at the same point was a good 2" out of the water. We looked inside the hull just to be sure, and a visual look at the bottom did not reveal and deformities that I coud see. I suppose I could cut a cardboard template and check the hull that way.

Does this happen on a factory fresh boat? The dealer is closed today, but we are concerned. Thanks for any feedback.

Dave
