I've been rescued a few times by guys in fishing boats. Once in a OC-1 where the ama flooded(funny story sometime) and another with an OC-6 where the reserve bouyancy tank flooded after a huli. (Actually it was the canoe we were worried about rather than the crew.)

So when stuffing my Adventure with those pool Noodles I thought what if it wasn't me in trouble, but someone else? How could I help?

Well people could hang onto the yak, but what if the yak had to rush off with one person aboard who was injured? Or you float around with people hanging on the yak and they get tired and let go? + other horrible thoughts.

So I strung pieces of clothes line through the Noodles and duct taped the bitter ends to the Noodle to avoid entanglements. And added some scrap reflector tape (see triangle next to my right arm).

You could then extarct the Noodles from inside the hull, dish 'em out to people, who could slip them under their arms and then tie them in front.

It's mickey mouse, but who knows, might help people in trouble.

Besides, I can always pull the Noodles out, chain them together and have a floating "log" to attract mahi mahi. :D

Great idea -- emergency rescue floats without taking up much space or weight! Looks like they could also double for bumpers, pads or slings. Thanks for sharing 8)
