Post subject:  What no Outback leaks?

Great news, I have just taken the Outback out for its maiden voyage and after 3 hours on a very choppy lake and in the rain (and freezing cold) the hull was bone dry. I hope that this remains the case for the life of the outback. After hearing so many reports of leaks it is reassuring to see that it looks like Hobie have corrected the fault. The hull was reinforced by Hobie as an extra guarantee against leaks as the outback was being shipped to the UK(a procedure that I am sure is being applied to all outbacks) and replacing the hull would have been logistically more difficult. Oh almost forgot to mention how well the yak moved in the chop and it attracted quite a crowd of curious onlookers. Also tried out the paddle and found that considering the water conditions it paddled better than expected. Although after using the pedals the attraction of paddling was diminished. All in all One happy UK owner and well done to Hobie for producing a terrific product. ....Bring on the summer
