I have just baught a secondhand blue Kona to set up as a fishing kayak.
Both trolley scupper holes are cracked, as someone has stood in the kayak while it was on the trolley. I was thinking about putting a slieve around the scupper, or, perhaps just covering the top and bottom opening so it is totally sealed. Is there a prefered method of repairing this, or have I just wasted my money? Help please....

I have read that you can split a length of PVC pipe and then cement the halves around the scupper tube inside the hull.
Don't know what the best cement to use would be but I do know that you will need to sand the scupper to both clean and roughen the surface for the glue to bond.
Hope this helps.

Bozzie,
Roadrunner has reported successful repairs using Scotchweld DP8010.
A search for his posts will yield a lot of info such as
