One more quesiton on the Status of Adventure modifications / improvements: Do I need to be concerned that the boat I purchase is of the most recent manufacture and has not been sitting in inventory for too long? It's a little hard to follow though the various posts, but it seems that the hatches have recently been changed, possibly the rudder up/down assembly has been modified or adjusted, maybe the materials of the Mirage Drive have been changed.. Thanks -Jonathan |

Hobie makes improvements all the time, so your best shopping tool is the ability to read the serial number, which has the manufacturing date in it.It looks like this: CCMD 8888 E506 CCM = ? D = model (adventure) 8888 = serial # E5 = June 5 (A - L = Jan - Dec) 06 = model year This way you can verify which is the latest that your dealer has. The Hatches is a pretty good visual sign to go by because it's easy to spot the difference (new ones are hinged, are by Hobie). They are a nice improvement. |
