One more quesiton on the Status of Adventure modifications / improvements: Do I need to be concerned that the boat I purchase is of the most recent manufacture and has not been sitting in inventory for too long? It's a little hard to follow though the various posts, but it seems that the hatches have recently been changed, possibly the rudder up/down assembly has been modified or adjusted, maybe the materials of the Mirage Drive have been changed..
Thanks

Hobie makes improvements all the time, so your best shopping tool is the ability to read the serial number, which has the manufacturing date in it.It looks like this:

CCMD 8888 E506

CCM = ?
D = model (adventure)
8888 = serial #
E5 = June 5 (A - L = Jan - Dec)
06 = model year

This way you can verify which is the latest that your dealer has. The Hatches is a pretty good visual sign to go by because it's easy to spot the difference (new ones are hinged, are by Hobie). They are a nice improvement. 8)
