Some of you have seen this type of install before. I think I even saw it on this board as well as on the Texas Kayak Fishing board as well. Well, I finally got off my lazy bum and began the fish finder install on the Hobie yesterday. The first step was establishing a power source and location.

The entire process took about 30 minutes and was a success.

Enjoy!!

Nicely done! Those new large buckets are pretty handy!

Thanks - I know some might use other methods of securing their battery, but this one seemed obvious to me given the lack of use of the rear hatch for me.

Very cool use of the bucket! I just super velcroed the 12 v battery to the sail mast post in the well. If I get a big flood, I better hope the in line fuse works!

Hi Guys,
I have just finished installing a amp & speakers to my Revo 13 as well
as the eVolve kit, so I had two batteries to install.
I have thought of several different ideas, but the easiest and most practical has been to cut a piece of high desiity foam and place it into the hull, lay the battery on the foam and while pressing down, slide it under the hull so that the battery is sandwiched firmly betwine the foam and the upper deck.
keeps it nice & secure.
Montedane.

Thanks ADKFUN - I figured the rear hatch isn't really usable on the water as far as access, so why not put it to good use :D .
