I unloaded the yak this morning at a launch to the sound of a loud swish in the hull. hmm. I scooped the water out and fished for about 4 hours and found a few inches of water in the hull again.

Came home cleaned it up, put it up on a lift and found the leak to be the where the pin for the rudder goes through.

Its a 2009 Revo, I am the one an only owner, bought it new from a now out of business dealer.

Matt please tell me it may be a warranty issue. thanks

Post a photo of the issue - very easy to fix leaks in the transom with plastic weld or even hot melt glue or epoxy - the insert for the rudder can have small blow holes - so it's not too much of an issue for repair.

2009 would be 4 years old and out of warranty, but even if it were a brand new boat the repair would be the way to go.

well finding the leak is proving to be a pain, not the rudder.

More water, seems it may be where the sail mast comes thru, the white cap underneath the boat.

Why are some 09s covered by warranty? There are instances where Hobie gives warranty consideration, they have a history of standing behind their kayaks.

I loaded the kayak with water and there is definitely a slow drip from where the support mast comes thru and is capped, I'm sure when my 220 sits in it the water tends to get forced into the interior.
