Yeah it was little frustrating and embarrassing as first time I went out on what in the surf, and it was a little rough so once I finally got out past the waves I thought I was home free then I kept going in circles my buddy was trying to laugh at me. Then coming I got crash by a wave right in front of my kids 6 and 8 but at least they thought it was cool. Make things worse the one thing my buddy told before we went out was not to wear my sun glasses as he had lost a pair the first time he went in surf and yup lost my nice Oakley's
. I did have have hobie Mirage drive lease worked like a champ thank god. Second time and third time out were way better. I was also have little trouble with tracking and constantly having to use steering lever to straighten out went going parallel with the beach but need to try it out on flat waters and see if I have same issue or was just the current.
When doing surf launches and landings well more tumbling than landing
I notice that I had a lot of water in hull. Just wandering how do you check hatchs and or which one would be taking in water?
Cheers
