| Post subject: | Sail Kit on Adventure |
Anyone have a sail kit on their Adventure? If so, how do you like it? About how fast do you typically go in 5-10 mph winds? Also, how does the extra length of the Adventure impact the way it sails? Can you sail relatively close to the wind? |

Have a look through the kayak sailing topics: http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=32 The Adventure is an awesome model to use a sail kit on. Length = speed. Using the larger rudder is preferred when sailing #81397001 and the Adventure dagger board option #79502001 works really well for windward sailing. Angle to weather is better if you also pedal... of course... pedaling you can get to "0" degrees, but easily 30-35. |
