Post subject:  Twist and Stow v Twist and Stow kit.Why such big price diff?

Hi Everyone

Just purchased a used Hobie Quest and want a rudder for fishing (found it drifted more than I care for). I just checked into prices for the kit--176.00 bucks. But the twist and stow rudder by itself is only 59.00 bucks. Don't quite understand why the cost for the kit is so much higher. Looks like the kit comes with a bracket and lines, padeyes, etc., but not 100 bucks+ worth of additional accessories.

Anyone have an idea why such a big price differential? Has anyone tried putting on a T and S rudder without buying the kit?

Thank you for your advice in advance!
