I have a 2013 Revolution 13 and I have seen people using tenis ball on the Kayak cart bar that goes through the scupper behind the seat. I was woundering if it really help releving the stress on the scupper. Also does the hull have to touch the padding on the cross bar of the cart? I have mine set so it does but have seen folks that it doesn't?

Also is it safe to hull the kayak on a bumpy traill to the water with these carts? The lake I go to has a 200 feet gravel and rocky trail which tends to be a little bumpy in certain spots.

Thanks!

Shawn

The crossbar should touch the hull if possible. A higher kayak just means more leverage on the posts in the scuppers. The tennis balls will help cushion, but are not necessary. There is a lot of structure at the base of the scuppers to support the load from the clamps.
