If the old bike pedal type that threads into the cranks... your choices are new bike pedals (sourced from somewhere) or a new pedal and shaft assembly from Hobie Cat. |

Matt, I need to order the left pedal/crank assembly for the V1, but I do not see the part number and price in the catalog. Can you please provide and let me know the nearest dealer to 34957? Thanks, Bob |

Not trying to get in between the Hobie guy and an owner, but have you tried to loosen them up with some type of penetrant and/or heat? I know a guy who NEVER rinses his drive, always fishes salt water and sometimes lets his sit for months without using them. never locked up, but get a little crusty. Once it was pretty bad, we warmed it up and messed with it a day or so and still going. If you are planning to buy new anyway, give it a shot, worse you can do is ruin something you're gonna throw away anyway. And when I say "heat", don't mean a torch... wife's hairdrier would do. get it warmer and warmer a little at a time until it gets hot.. start trying to move it a little at the time, back and forth... any kind of movement is good, keep working it and maybe a dribble of something like PB Blaster? Let it soak in over a day or so, add more, little more heat... might break loose. |
