I have the seat installed in my 2013 Outback and it's awesome, but I'm not sure what changed between 2009 and 2013 so not sure if it will fit in yours. An easy way to tell is to check if there is a local Jackson Kayak dealer near you, and take your kayak by the their shop and take an actual seat and see if it will fit. I hope it works for you, because it was by far one of the best mods I did on my Outback!

I realize this post is a little old - and I will search around a bit but wondering if these seats would work on my TI2011?
Lately been using the TI in Kayak mode for fishing - would be nice to be up a bit and out of not sitting in the water especially now that it is getting cooler.

I have the Jackson Elite on my two AIs. Fits great with little modifications. I believe others have touched on ability to fit the seat on a TI. Unfortunately it does not work. The shape behind the seats of the TI is different.

If your going to be raising your seat level in mono hull mode, which I've never done on my Islands, I would highly recommend the Attwood seat for the TI/AI older models. See Attwood thread. My only concern would be balance. You probably would want to get the smaller Attwood seat suggested in the first posting, for lower center of gravity.

Thanks, I will check it out.

I have tried mono-hull mode but for fishing in the river/lakes I prefer one Aka and one tramp for stability and storing stuff.

Would like to have the seats up a bit especially in cooler weather.

I went with the Bass Pro Ascend seat in my old Outback. I love it and it seems to be as stable as it was before.

Hi TxYackMan

I didn't realise how old this posting was, You have most likely 'fixed' your problem by now, however if not, check out this you tube clip, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrdT0gzQPww I tried this mod for my outback but it didn't fix what I needed, bad back (like a half open pocket knife) after a fishing session. I tried to raise the floor section to give me a more upright seating position, I eventually fitted a Jackson Elite seat, best mod ever even with a slight loss of stability. The clip addresses your wet bum problem and not change stability too much. I hope it helps.
