HEY GUYS, GREAT SITE! I CURRENTLY FISH W/ FRIENDS WHO OWN COBRA MARAUDERS AND OK PROWLERS. WE PRIMARILY FISH THE BAY BUT ARE STARTING TO FISH LA JOLLA MORE OFTEN. I'M 5'8 170 LBS., WHICH HOBIE WOULD BE BEST FOR MY NEEDS IN LA JOLLA. I'M LEANING TOWARDS THE OUTBACK BECAUSE I LIKE THE LAYOUT AND THE STABILITY. BUT THEY SAY YOU CAN LEARN STABILITY, BUT NOT SPEED. WILL I BE ABLE TO KEEP UP W/ MY FRIENDS IN THE OUTBACK OR SHOULD I GO FOR THE REVOLUTION (SPEED). OR MAYBE GO W/ THE OUTBACK W/ TURBO PEDALS. ANY SUGGESTIONS? :D

THANKS,

BEN

either yak will be fine for you, the outback is much more stable and not that much slower. I fish the Revolution over the outback, just like it not sure why. Turbo fins on either for sure, either yak should be much faster than any of your friends!

HEY BRAD, THANKS FOR THE INPUT. WHAT ABOUT GOING IN AND OUT OF THE SURF, DOES EITHER BOAT HAVE ANY ADVANTAGES OVER THE OTHER?

I don't think there should be much difference, outback would be more stable, but revolution is faster and would cut the wave better, I have not done much surf launching in either, what little I have done I know the revolution will catch a wave and surf easier!! I'm sure someone has fished both and launched in surf, yalls surf is different from ours n-e-ways, and I know yall don't say "YALL" either
