They handle it as a warranty job, they will ask for your hull number. I called my dealer and they ordered it after I supplied the number.

Improved CT Seat Retention Clip

The new side release buckle has a number of advantages over the keyhole. Most importantly, it is harder to miss and easier to use than the red clip. It is very clear that the two halves of the buckle connect to each other, and safe to say that nearly everyone is familiar with this type of buckle.

In an effort to reduce seats coming loose on the water and the chance of losing a seat in a capsize, all replacement seats from the Parts Department will be shipping with the new buckles.

We are offering a seat/kayak update kit free of charge for users who would like to install the new system into their kayaks.

Please request update kits via warranty through your dealer.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but has anyone else had an issue with the tether being too short to attach when using the kickstand? Matt?

This is on a 2017 Revolution 13 and I tried multiple seats and none had straps long enough to attach.

I dont trust either. Tie a cord to each corner of the seat with sturdy SS clips on the end and clip them to the padeyes at front of tankwell. New seat is too much $$ to be trusted to a little plastic clip

I do not trust either. I kept the old Seat Retention Clip, model 2015, but I put two velcros, of those that attach batteries to drones and model aircraft.

We had a case of a Revolution 13 hurled to the surf zone and had the seat ripped off by the waves, even with the clip.

That looks like you're front x bar is all the way down - that will make the reach much longer - raise the front rail. Then they fit. You wouldn't sit in the chair that way - your seat bottom will be sloped down in front - not very comfortable. It needs to be the shorter length - if we make them long - then the chair can lift up in the back high enough to become detached from the front x bar. So it needs to be short by design.

Try what Jacques described... I suppose it iss possible that the anchor attachment locations have changed on the hulls. I have not heard that one before.
