I have an older Mirage double kayak. There are 2 cracks in the drive well where the drive sits. The cracks extend to below water line. Will a KC welder sold by Hobie be enough for a fix or would using the Pro KC Welder with steel mesh be better?

The Hobie welder comes with the stainless mesh.

I think a repair combining welds with some internal reinforcement using 3M DP8010 NS could work. Look in the forums for DP8010. Roadrunner did some repairs.

We can't recommend repairs below water line though. This is risky of course.
