Hey everyone, I am new on this forum but wanted to tell everyone I am stoked. Tomorrow I am picking up a 2017 Revo 13. First Hobie for me. I am really looking forward to finally being able to fish hands free.

I am going to purchase the exact same boat just as soon at the 2018's are out. I hope to get a break on shipping on the 2017 model so I am waiting a few more weeks hoping to save a few hundred $$.

The dealer here came down $250 from the price they gave me in June. I am sure I will spend it in modifications. :D

Will the 2018 Revo 13 come with the 180 Turbo fins as standard?

No - they do not.

Since this is about new Rev 13's, I have a question;

I decided last July I was going to learn to kayak and I have been slowly accumulating all the components. I have the car racks, the 2018 Rev 13, and a few accessories. Next item will be a PFD after I do some more research. As you can see I am moving slowly but making progress. However, my question is about transporting on my car rack.

How do I attach the ends of the kayak to my car? It does not appear that the eyelets for the handles are strong enough for strapping. So if someone could offer some advice on this I would appreciate it.

The carrying handle hardware is strong enough to prevent the kayak from moving forward or aft during acceleration or deceleration of your vehicle.

When I roof topped my old Outback, I fed the front line through a 24" long piece of a pool noodle to keep the paint on the nose of my hood and grill from being marred. Securing the ends of the lines to the cars undercarriage is a simple task......just look for a easy spot to tie off the lines on both ends of your car.

Your kayak is secured by the straps to the cross bars. Be careful not to over tighten the kayak straps to the cross bars and deform the hull......"snug" is good enough.

Thank you. Great tip on the pool noodle to protect the paint!

Hello everybody I recently purchased a revolution 13 2018. I'm very excited to use it. Before that I had an ocean torque kayak. the ocean torque had a motor integrated with it. I'm probably going to wind up putting torqueedo ultra light 403 on the back.Any advice I would much appreciate thanks. This is my first time in these type of forums so basically I have no clue. Thank you

If you're set on integrating electric motor propulsion into your Revo, you'll be very pleased with the Torqeedo. You'll be able to plug it into the Mirage Drive well, or integrate it with the Twist and Stow rudder.

Adding the torqueedo ultra light 403 is more involved but you retain use of the Mirage drive as auxiliary or backup power to the Torqueedo battery pack. The Ultralight can be raised up in shallow waters or when beaching while still having forward propulsion with the Mirage drive.
