I was trying to decipher the hull number of my outback for registration purposes. It looks like the person that engraved mine bunched some of the letters a bit too close together. Does anyone know if the first four digits for an outback should be HCCT or HCCJ? |

Thanks Howie, is there a link for the model to letter mapping somewhere? in the link is shows: Code: B1234: Indicates the model and sequential serial number. In most cases, the model is indicated with a single letter, but sometimes two letters are used. I am trying to find out if my outback is a T or a J model number... |

Letters before the 4 digits are simply new sets of 9999 boats. Letters after are the month of manufacture. A: Month of manufacture – A (January) through L (December). No T is used for the months. |
