New here, but not new to kayak fishing. In the fall I purchased a pedal drive non Hobie thinking I'd love hands free fishing. Instead it made me realize how much I miss the old kayaks that felt like kayaks, and being a minimalist. Seems like I've been paddling barges over past few years. Anyway long story short I have my eye on some sleeker paddle kayaks in the 13 foot range, the quest being one. I was wondering though if the new Vantage seat made them more unstable, and less suited to fishing. I'm not really into standing. Just give me a fast light boat with a comfy seat, and I'm good. Thanks for any feedback |

The new Vantage seat is night and day between the old seat...you'll be so much more comfortable fishing all day in the new seat. I highly recommend setting up a demo with a local dealer and giving it a test drive: https://www.hobie.com/try-a-hobie/ |

Found a 2017 Papaya Quest that I just had to have. Looking forward to getting it in water, and being back in a boat that actually feels like a kayak |
