The strings on both front and rear for the rudder had broken and were then pulled out. Not smart I know. I did search different forums but could not find one specific to the Pro Angler 17, I looked for a you tube video as well and not luck :D thanks in advance.

Not something we have detailed instructions for. I have a drawing showing lengths and positions of the lines:

Stripped copper core cable of a suitable diameter as a guide maybe with a bit of fishing line glued to it, which in turn is glued to replacement cord..Maybe?

Matt, thank you for the drawings. Unfortunately I am still not sure how to proceed. The drawings are not that clear to me. If any one has any video or photographs or clear precise instructions on how to re-attach the rudder lines and how to thread them through the hull it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks again Maverick

Sent you an e mail - like to speak with you directly to try and help. We don't have printed instructions. (or a video)

I spoke on the phone to Jacques at Hobie. He was very helpful and gave good advice. Thanks Jacques much appreciated. FYI
Turns out the front t handle had been pulled off and was lost. The rigging for retracting the rudder had been pulled out of the hull. I was able to rig the rear back up but had problems fishing the cord through that small hole for the front. As Jacques recommended I used a hot knife to keep the end of the cord small.
In the end I did not reconnect the front T handle as it became to difficult to thread the cord through the front hole. It could be the shortened cord, and I did release the tension. The back one is all I need for now. When I get close to a Hobie dealership I will stop in and purchase a new T handle and rigging.

thanks very much Hobie great service! :D
