I’m looking at a used 2014 Hobie outback for $1,100. Is that a good deal? Doesn’t come with any accessories or a paddle/oar. I thought they all came with a paddle?

Is this a good deal?

They all come from Hobie with a paddle.

In December I picked up a '14 Outback for $950 with turbo fins, sailing rudder and anchor rig.

Given the area that I live in, Outbacks are pretty common on Craig's list, so that may impact the market.

Factor in about $30 for a cheap paddle and I'd say your deal is a bit above market, but not horribly so.

I just sold a Papaya colored Outback for $1300. Had a Lowrance 4hdi, anchor trolley, paddle and some gear tracks with a Zooka tube. It seems like the Outbacks around here lately ," bottom out" - price wise -around $1300ish. Sounds like a good deal to me, provided the boat was taken care of.

I am actually considering selling my 2014 Outback, and from what I have seen, accessories don't really drive the price. My research is telling me that $1100 is a very good price.

You didn't say if it came with the Mirage drive, but it should, and I wouldn't consider that an accessory.

Check the condition of the Mirage drive fins and the condition of the hull - that will tell you much of what you need to know about how the kayak was used.
