Post subject:  Mirage classic rudder parts/install
I got a mirage classic for a really good deal but doesn’t have rudder or mirage drive installed. In fact, it doesn’t even have holes for the lines for the rudder. What parts do I need and what should I know about it before I start trying. What size of hole do I drill or is it easier I take it to a hobie dealer to get them drilled?

What you have is likely what we called an "Aspire". That is a project! There are a LOT of parts required to make it a functioning Mirage kayak.

A MirageDrive runs $622 for the GT standard Fin version.

I stopped reading that parts list before my head exploded. I think I’ll just paddle it or put a MirageDrive in and steer it with my paddle. I found a fully functioning mirage classic a few months back and probably should have snapped it up and used my current one as a backup but should’a, would’a, coulda.
