MD180 v2 ST fin split near tip and mast is partly exposed. Dealer will replace fin for free (yeah!). Until I can get new fin, would like to use for very light pedal freshwater fishing so peak performance is not a concern (I can paddle for top speed) and drive seems to work ok as is. So wondering:
1) Is it worth trying a temporary fin repair to somehow better protect mast and/or make drive work better?
2) What temporary, fairly cheap repair do you suggest (e.g., shoe goop+tire tube, gorilla glue, duct tape, aquaseal, aluminum wrap, etc)?

Gorilla tape works well....clean with alcohol or lacquer thinner, apply tape.
