Hello,

Just got my new 2018 Compass on Tuesday and immediately went fishing and caught a big 4 pound bass. I'm viewing that as a sign that the compass and I have bonded and will have a bright future. :D

I will be carrying the Compass upside down on a trailer which has crossbars spaced 4 feet apart. While this is acceptable according to the manual, it is not clear if when I store it in the garage the spacing of the crossbars is sufficient. I seem to recall reading something that said the cross bars should be spaced approximately 60 percent of the length of the kayak.

What are your thoughts on this? This Compass is my retirement gift to myself and I plan on using it a lot.

Thanks
Tom
