I have the older boom assembly on my 180. I would like to upgrade to the V2. What is included as warranty work? Both parts and labor? My dealer is a big box store so I like to have the right answer before I ask them about anything. I would be happy to do the work myself if I could get the parts. It's a 2017 model kayak bought new in April 2018 from this dealer.

This was a free update a year or so ago. The parts only were at no charge through warranty. Ask the dealer to file a claim for this.

If You under the warranty, I think you should claim your warranty and ask your dealer first would save you time and the hustle, ofcourse otherwise there would be videos you can find on youtube which can help you to DIY!

I received the upgrade kit under warranty. My dealer is a big box store and I don't think the designated person even knew what a warranty claim was at first but after explaining the situation to him he did a great job. Like I figured...it helped to know the right answer going into the situation.
