I currently own a Revo 13 and I’m considering buying a Revo 11. Obviously the 11 is shorter and lighter. It looks like the length difference is all behind the seat. So is that where they make up the difference? Any other significant differences between the two? ~JOE~ |

The nose is shorter and narrower, which means in choppy conditions it is less buoyant and more water comes over the nose, which makes the hatch more vulnerable to letting water in. In such conditions it will "squirrel" about rising in and out of troughs, twisting more than the 13. The shorter back is made up for by being slightly wider just behind the seat, so you would'nt be really aware of it. So its really only in roughish conditions you will notice the difference. Storage wise its not far behind the 13. |

I owned a revo 11 and ended up selling a buying a revo 13 when the 180 drive came out. Revo 11 is wider and length is shorter, it's lighter so easier to put on roof racks. I also though revo 11 seemed better balanced when lifting onto roof racks. I use the yak mainly for multi day camp kayaking and store all gear in the yak. I found revo 11 has quite a bit less storage room Bob's around in decent chop a lot more Is only a little slower than a revo 13 Is much easier to deal with for small kayak outings vs larger |

11's are much easier to get up and down slippery / dodgy river bank launches. If you are a lift and jerk roof top loader (not advisable, but often done) the 11 is way safer. reduction in bow area I can see affecting stuffing them full of camping gear. You will also reach max loading sooner causing footwell to flood more and swamp central hatch. Then again they are not really meant for touring. They are surprising more capable for their size than most other brands around this size |

Bringing this back to the top. I found a still in the wrapping 2017 Revo 11 at a dealer in South Carolina for a price that I thought was more than fair. Got her home yesterday and will start the rigging process. Looking forward to the maiden voyage. ~JOE~ |
