Hello All, We just sold our Oasis (2010) and want to go to single mirage drive boats. Currently also have Maui and Lanai paddle only kayaks for use on the local rivers. Our issue is, that we can only carry 2 kayaks on the car and on many camping trips want the option for the Mirage drives for lake cruising and without the drives to take them down rivers during the same trip. For my wife the choice of a Mirage Sport is clear since she really likes her Lanai. I'm trying to decide if the Revolution 11 or the Compass would make a better boat to cover both situations. Especially interested in how each would handle on the rivers since it will be impossible to demo. Not at all interested in fishing. Any input is appreciated. |

I found the answer. The Compass has no foot pegs, so not really adequate for controlling on a river with decent flow. Rev 11 it will be. |

I would recommend the Revo 11 no question. Only thing that would change that is if you are larger in size (say 220 lbs plus). Better paddling kayak than the Compass for when it comes to that, easier to maneuver in tight places and the seat is more comfortable IMO. |
