Not exactly correct. 3 primaries from Maynards have pooled resources to purchase the Hobie Company. We are not owned by Maynards.

Quote:
The Hobie Cat Company, a pioneer and market-leader in pedal-drive kayaks, was sold in January to an investment group led by Taso Sofikitis with other senior officials of Detroit-based Maynards Industries

The new owners have extensive international business experience (and connections) and have big plans for Hobie. Very exciting times for us!

Thanks Matt for the clarification! Hopefully the Hobie family will stay together and the quality and ingenuity we've been spoiled by over the years will continue.
