After staring at my new boat for .... a long time, I finally hyped myself up to punch the two holes required for the fish finder cable routing. The 1" hole for the transducer cable was really snug. However, the 1-3/8" hole I drilled using an appropriate hole saw was actually slightly larger than the insert for the plug, which made aligning the three screws a bit difficult so that they had enough 'bite' and clearance between the 1-3/8" hole opening. I'd say two screws are about 3-4mm away from the center hole, but the third screw is maybe only 1-2mm away.I measured the cut out I drilled and it is exactly 1-3/8", so the hole is the appropriate size. The 3-way insert would actually just fall out of the hole until I put the screws in - i.e., not snug enough to hold itself in place without the screws. Suffice to say I wish this 3-way plug was more snug, but it gets the job done. I'm curious whether others have experienced this?
