I currently have my t24 mounted in the MD hole and get about 3 - 3.5 mph on it. I'm thinking of moving the t24 to the side building the rod holder mount. Few questions for anyone that have done this.
1. Will I still get about 3 - 3.5 on the side?
2. How much more speed can I get using the motor and mirage drive at the same time if any?

You'll get the same speed.

Using the Mirage drive at the same time tends to pit one against the other. If you pedal hard, you start having to overcome the slower motor and things get sort of funky. If you pedal lightly, the motor doesn't get much benefit. But the latter case is the better one. You'll just have to try it for yourself and see what you think.

It`s not so much the speed, but easier peddling and longer battery life if you do both at the same time.

Thanks for the insight Tom. I'll be using your design.
