Post subject:  Hobie SUP/Kayak hybrid recommendation

Im posting this here because i believe Hobie employees will see it.

Why not release a stationary fin that will snap into place when using the hybrids as a SUP? What i mean is; having to use the same fin to steer when using primarily as a kayak doesnt make sense if i just need a fin in the water for tracking. I want to be able to strip the hybrid down and use it as a SUP this would make things a lot easier and could be an additional selling point when referring to them as a Kayak/SUP hybrid.

The discontinued i11s had that removable fin feature. I think some even used both it and the rudder at once, such as for sailing. But the trend seems to be for simplification. Somewhere there is a thread about gluing on shallow skegs.

Anyway such parts from China seem unavailable, with a new flu shutdown following their new years shutdown following their Olympics shutdown. Now I hear China cannot import enuff stuff they need for mfg activity even when shutdown is over.
