I'm restoring a '96 Hobie Wave, and I want to clean the crossbars without removing the trampoline. I already used acetone to take the old stickers off the mast, but I'm hesitant to use it around the new trampoline I just bought. Obviously I'm worried about discoloration, and weakening of the material and all that

Is acetone safe to use on or around the trampoline (or hulls for that matter)? How about Simple Green?

Don't think I would use acetone.

Detergent and a scrub brush are your best bet.

Acetone is definitely a no-no on the trampoline. Simple Green is OK - but try on a small area before you go crazy with it.

I've always had pretty good luck with Dawn dishwashing detergent, a good scrub brush and a lot of elbow grease.

Don't use a power-washer either. Too easy to erode the fabric.
