Post subject:  Restoration project is now a parts boat/donor ... I think

I purchased a 1981 H16 a few years ago that was pretty much abused and abandoned, but it had what seemed to be a salvageable trailer and enough parts that it seemed like it would be a safe purchase even if it never saw water again ... Fast forward to now; I'm finally doing a real evaluation and the hulls are as bad as I remember, and people are telling me that pre-1988 hulls aren't great candidates for the "injection" repairs for delamitation (really should be cut open and the sandwich recreated including full vacuum bag treatment.) That's outside my ability (and budget) ... so I am thinking this boat is now a parts boat and I'm looking for others as I start to rehab the trailers issues. (The thinking there is I have seen many listings in the past that are "Come and get it ... no trailer."

The reasons I am posting this here are:
Does the above diagnosis sound accurate (about the scope of the rehab of the hulls)?
Will these hulls be of any value to anyone else? Or should I just start chopping them up and putting parts in the garbage each week until they are gone?

I feel like it is some sort of heresy(especially with this being my first post) to be thinking about taking a sawzall to these hulls, but if they are dead, there's no use in keeping them around? right? If there is a secondary market as props or planters or something, I'll put 'em on Craigslist for free ... :-) What would you do?

The hulls and connecting tramp can be a great float for the kids to jump off, or put an electric motor on it and use it as a "pontoon" boat... just sayin'... :D

I found a 86 Locally that was just good hulls, frame, rotted tramp and bridle and brought it home ... the 81 hulls were donated to a person who had a storm-damaged H16 (slammed against a palm tree and snapped his port hull) and he’s going to try to use my hulls (I actually had 3 — a pair of ports and a starboard) to resurrect his “pleasure sailer” ... he figures I gave him 2 practice hulls and a donor! (And that also means I have spare parts for The frame and everything attached to it (which given the age and cost of parts, feels like a good thing.)
