I am looking for a long paddle to suit me better than the standard 210cm length, and I was offered a "original one-piece Hobie Explorer 7'5 paddle" in black/blue, all new, never used or assembled.

Before splashing out the money I'd like to know the blade surface and the uncut shaft length. I'm looking for 225cm or more .... anybody here in the know?

The Explorer will be about 210 cm from tip of the blade to the top of the handle if the shaft is uncut. Our longest paddles are the Carbon Race, and the Carbon Hybrid. They are about 218 tip to tip. I don't have surface area of the blades but the Race is 8.5" wide and the Hybrid is 7.5" I prefer the Hybrid personally. The 8.5" blade on the Race model is pretty big.
