I bought my first Hobie SUP ATR v3 in June. I love this board, I use it in the rivers and bays where I live. I unfortunately have an issue with the paint/finish. I used suction cups for the deck rigging and the paint/finish lifted off the board. The shop I bought the board from contacted Hobie for warranty and Hobie said it is not covered. I am a bit confused as the suction cups I used specifically said for smooth fiberglass finish sufaces which is what the ATR series is. Has anyone experienced this? I sure wish I was given some heads up about this if it was a known issue. I really don't understand why the finish would be so fragile.

I have never seen suction cup damage before on a SUP. It is a painted surface though so a strong suction with a lot of force against it could damage or at least mark the paint I suppose.
