| Post subject: | Confirmation of weight for the EVA series? |
I'm hunting for that elusive board that's stable and floaty enough for family use, has a durable enough top surface for the dog, and is light enough for me to lift up onto the car. The EVA series seems impossibly light-weight. Is the 11' board really just 26 pounds? I for sure don't want a race board, and most "family" boards are extra-durable to the point of being too heavy. This might be the one, if I can get confirmation on the weight. Actual honest-to-god, put-it-on-a-scale and what does it say weight. And while we're on the subject, what is the expected weight limit of this board that has a seemingly low volume of just around 200L? |

26 pounds is in fact the weight of the board on a scale, on average. There is a little variation between boards, but not likely more than a pound or so outside of that 26 mark. Weight limits are a tough number to put on because so much of the limit is dependent on the skill and coordination of the paddler. Despite that, we've given this one a 200 pound max for beginner, 215 intermediate, and 230 advanced.
