I"m refitting a new to me H18. I didn't receive the furler. Has anyone put a different brand on? Does anyone have a spare?

Due to high loads, I would stay with the original furler.

Do your research on these. Matt never stated just how much the Hobie furler can take, but the jib stay takes over the load of the head stay. Now if your furler broke, The head stay would still be there, but,,, Your furler is broke....be patient. you will prob find a decent used one, or, one that can be rebuilt. The Hobie one is sutle. But, there is a difference in the way it is mounted and the direction of the winding.
