Hey all,
My Shoreline painted steel trailer for my 18SX is rusting like crazy (used to be a lake boat, now at ocean in NJ) and rear cross bar with roller collapsed on one side at the end of last season.

I have decided to replace both cross bars to be safe (front has cradles). It's a 2" painted steel bar currently and I was thinking I'd replace with a 2" galvanized bar. Anyone see any issues with that or have other recommendation? Also wondering if anyone knows the gauge of steel you need to support the boat?
Thanks all!
Phil

2” square steel tube with 1/8” wall (give or take) should do the trick. Depends on what’s available.

Check your frame, too. I had a Shoreline trailer and the frame broke! Not impressed with their quality.
