Has anyone extended the front and rear beams??? I was considering about 18 inches or so. If you or someone you know has done this what were results?? I know the tramp, standing rigging, rudder crossbar etc would have to be replaced. To trailer a wider boat a tilt trailer would have to be fabricated.

Due to the arched beams... longer would make the decks tilt outboard more the longer the beam. You would have to change the attachment to use straight beams I'd guess. I'd say the H18 is not a good candidate for this type of thing.
