I'm trying to get an Idea of how many of each boat (fiberglass boats only) have been made

The round about number on the 16 is like 110,000ish since 1972
but how many 18s/17's/ 20's and 21's were made?
I've searched the forum (not very thoroughly I might add) and I'm drawing a blank.
Just ballpark figures would be helpful.

I have often wondered the same thing about the H-18 anyway.

Knowing the numbers on the others would be interesting trivia to me.

I am not sure if Matt knows the numbers, and if he does know if he would tell.

Sometimes a company considers that kind of information proprietary.

Not sure why it would matter on boats that are currently out of production.

How about it Matt, do ya know, would ya / could ya tell if you did ?

Ohhhh can we take bets?

My guess:
25,000 H14's
101,359 H16's
4,378 H17's
12,397 H18's
927 H20's

I think there were more like 40K Hobie 14's, but not sure why that number sticks in my head.

Would not care to hazard a different guess on any of the other numbers you put out there.

Definitely don't want to bet against you.

101,359 H16's

somewhere around 1987-88-89, someone shows up at a division points regatta in either Wildwood or Cape May, NJ with a H16 with the number 100,000. we all marvel at this boat and wonder how they were able to skip forward numbers and get these sail numbers. I forget the story, but find it funny that from then 'til now there may be only 101,359 H16's built. Gotta be more than that.

I suspect the fellow simply requested that number when he placed an order for the sails. My number is my birthday so it's easier to remember. Sail numbers matter only for identification in races.

If not exact numbers could w eat least have "ballpark" figures, I'm sure theres no harm in a well educated "estimate"

well I'm off to go pick up beach wheels...happy easter all!
