Can anybody tell me if there are any resources either on this web site, or anywhere else that give good detail on how to install the Hobie 20 tiller connection kit on the 14/16/18's? The instructions that came with the kit suck!

Stop by your local dealer, Sailboats of Bakersfield, and ask for help. They have installed many of these connector kits and can answer your questions in person.
