The pin on the front of the boom for the gooseneck is sheared off, how do I replace this? I see two rivets on either side but the boom cap is welded on...

I have some old shroud anchor pins laying around, if I can get access to the end cap would this make a sutible replacement?

Welded on?? Hmm. . . sounds like something wrong. Welded on cap may indicate a previous owner tried to shortcut a fix. It's going to have to come off anyway to fix or replace the problem area so why not get the Boom Pin while you have it apart?

Be sure to inspect the cap and boom for structural issues that may have caused the last guy to weld it.

Good Luck.
