Can anyone confirm a part # for me?

Winter works include renewing the bungee on the outhaul car...so looking at the car over the Xmas break, I found only three white Delrin 'wheels', not four.

Are those 'wheels' # 6024 0000 "Boom H18 Outhaul Bearing"?
Can I merely replace one, or does one need the Bearing Pin #6025 0000 as well?
Replace a set of four? In pairs?

Cold outside, almost cold enough for ice sailing....can't wait.

thanks

John,

What is the condition of the three remaining bearings??? Are they old ... dis-colored ... cracked ... brittle ... rough feeling ... have flat spots ... any or all of the above???

If the answer is yes to any of the previous questions .... replace. The delran bearings are not that expense. Your time to re-build the boom is much more valuable/costly then the actual cost of the replacement bearings ..... that's why I've developed a general philosophy of not re-using "old/used" 1/2 way worn-out parts, unless I have no other option at that moment ....

Especially on a boat ... "where failure is not a option ...."

... as it is not a option/occurance I usually enjoy having to deal w/ when I'm out boating/sailing .... usually ruining the "karma" of the moment ... and could also have dire consequences ....

Thanks Matt....and Harry, and Todd at Sturgis, and Rob at Boat Works and Fogh Marine....I'll put my order in soon. Love that Hobie network....

I like your suggestion Harry, to replace 'the set'. At a few bucks each, makes sense, especially on a 1989 SX18. But not this weekend, four inches of fresh powder, so skiing here we come!
