I am looking for a set of used wings for my 1987 H18. We live and sail in Southeast Michigan and hope to find some wings closeby to avoid a long drive or high shipping costs.

Cheers,

I still have a great set of SX18 Wings, with grey mesh tramps, and all the fittings.

Is Ottawa Ontario too far? From our house to Port Huron (Blue Water Bridge) is about 9 hours of driving....depending on traffic through metro Toronto. Tough this time of year, but great in May, with longer hours of daylight.

Sorry I don't have any wings for you, but I wanted to take a moment to welcome you to the forum. I live about 10 minutes north of you (as do at least 2 other <very> experienced Hobie guys), and I drive across the western side of the lake (Benstein Rd), on a near daily basis. Point is we're practically neighbors.

I'm a fairly recent convert to Hobie sailing - purchased my boat about 2 years ago. I've had huge fun and learned a lot sailing with the CRAM guys. If you're up for some great sailing on the open water - I'd suggest you try it. In some ways its easier as the smaller lakes can get real gusty.

Good luck on the wings. I wouldn't mind a set myself, so let me know if you find a 2nd set!

Once you sail with wings you will always want to sail with wings. Worth every penny. I don't race with them though.

Let's try to get as many Hobie 18s to CRAMs Caseville and Muskegon regattas as possible. It should be fun to get a group together.
