What about you gennaker. Where have you put your sheetblocks?

If you are referring to the jib I have changed nothing. The spin has blocks on the front crossbar and in the deck in front of the side shrouds. Spin sheet runs from the clew thru the block on the deck to the block on the crossbar, back to the rear crossbar where it runs thru a twingline block and back up to the other side.

I refeered to your assymetric spinnaker (=gennaker).

You say the sheet's first block from the clew is the block in front of the shroud. Where more exactly do you mean? Do you have a picture?
On a Tiger I saw, the block was on the inner part of the hull. Mine is at the most foward end of the alu-trapoline-atatchment-thing that goes along the inner side of the hulls.

Its in the deck with large washers on the back side to keep it from pulling out. I will try and get some pics this weekend for you. What is your personal e-mail?

Toberra, sent you a couple of pics, did you recieve them? I think if I were to do it again I would connect the outer block at the shroud. I am sheeting the chute almost completely to the block on some angles. I am very pleased with recent runs in the ocean. No backwinding in the main going to weather and was able to take long spinnaker runs. In air below 10kts I was able to catch and pass a Hobie 17 upwind and when we turned around I was gone. On the beach, on the wheels, before he landed. Hard to read my sail with no tattle tails in the lower section, going to add at least one. Downhaul worked perfectly, let the rotation out a bit and still had plenty of shape in the sail. I'm very pleased so far. Hope to race at the end of this month, will be able to make a better comparison of speed then.

OH, I'm sorry! I totaly forgot, verry nice pictures!

I'm verry confused though. I have seen verry different positions of the sheet blocks.
* On the back crossbar.
* On the front crossbar
* On the hull between the crossbars, both inner and outer side.

Whats the correct placement?

The sx had the blocks at the rear of the wings. The sx used a short pole. My pole is 12' long with the end snuffer. I think it depends on the foot of the spin and lenght of the pole. I think first block at side stay and second on front crossbar is probably the best setup. That way you have no holes in fiberglass. Whether you use a snuffer or launch from the deck will also affect your setup to some extent. My Fox had the blocks at the sidestay and front crossbar. Tigers seem to be changed for personal preference.
