On June 17th, we shook hands and the Hobie 18 became mine. Since then we've been out on Wawa Lake seven times! Each time has become better and better. After not sailing since the mid-eighties, I'm feeling more and more comfortable.

Last week we took the battens out of the main sail and soaked the sails in a huge tub of OxyClean. Made a big difference! Now all I do is look out of the window where I work as a cook (Embassy Restaurant in Wawa) and watch the tops of the trees to see if the wind is good!

Yesterday we (my husband Marcus; daughter Katherine and I) sailed from halfway down Wawa Lake to Wawa, fixed a couple of things, and then sailed back to where we keep her beached at a friend's cottage. A great afternoon. I'm posting a photograph of myself and my daughter, Katherine at Wawa Beach.

That's really great, congratulations! The boat cleaned up nicely and I'm guessing you're loving those SX wings. Wawa lake looks like a beautiful to sail. Best of luck to you and your family.
