There must be a quality issue with the shroud anchor pins, 2 year old pin should not break.

Glad all turned out well and the boat is ok, owner says the sail only suffered batten pocket damage from the sand. If the coasties would have left him aboard he could have sailed the boat to shore.

Need to contact the coast guard any time a boat floats ashore, especially one with registration numbers. They can quickly locate the owner and save them hours of searching for the boat in the water.
