Rick, If you get desperate, I had good luck spraying my crossbars with Rustoleum's new "Universal" paint. Just make sure you thoroughly prep/clean the surface before spraying. This paint adheres very well to faded anodized aluminum. My rear crossbar scratched a tiny bit this summer from my tiller resting on it under sail, but I believe this can be remedied - at least for a couple of years - with Scotchguard "auto bug shield" Film. Alternatively, you can set aside 20 minutes for some light sanding and surface cleaning in the spring and shoot it with a fresh coat. Done.

If you can spare the cash, new crossbars are available from your Hobie dealer for ~$550 each.
