Greetings! I have an early 80s H-18, with original sails. Mainsail is in very good shape and sports the Absolut Vodka logo. The jib is a little tired; looking for new or near new set with speed / racing as our focus (sailing partner and me). Looking at new sails and there's a lot of comments pro & con. Would appreciate your comments and if you're a sail loft rep, please be honest. thanks! |

I would agree with Matt. After market sails are really no better unless you're doing something exotic (square top,etc.). Aftermarket sails also carry no value used. None, zilch. Hobie sails can always be sold. Besides, If you plan on racing at any Hobie Event you will not be able to compete unless your sails are from Hobie. |
